Mini style setters. Amazing. Thanks to D.Keehn for sharing.

The point is in fact that fashion - it’s the armor to survive the reality of everyday life. - Bill Cunningham

I think it’s only healthy to step back once and awhile and allow yourself to be inspired. Our lives are so overly saturated that it’s difficult to let anything seep past the surface.
I recently watched Bill Cunningham New York. I have to be honest; it’s been awhile since something resonated so deeply. The film followed street style legend Bill Cunningham and exposed the real essence of his life’s work. Everyone knows you get dressed for Bill but I had no clue why. Who was this man? What was his story?
In the most poignant yet simple way possible he broke down what I’ve been feeling for years. For Bill, he was so grateful to these people for making statements, taking risks. For making life a little bit more bearable by wearing something extraordinary.  It was really quite stunning to see this most raw and humble being light up at capturing the right shot. When we see those moments in real time, a woman wearing the most amazing fur or a man unapologetically sporting 5-inch heels it’s sort of awe-inspiring. You realize in that moment how honest that is; how transparent putting yourself out there can be.
Bill’s always known that.

Lola is a state of mind. She’s the girl next door, the girl you wish you could be. Unapologetic, fearless – she’s the girl who wants it all. No, she doesn’t have the latest Celine bag – but why should she? This is a forum for the 20-something ingénue. Un-jaded by dense city living she’s hopeful, honest and ready to take on the world. From fashion and beauty shortcuts to inspired design and food finds – Lola shows how to make the most of your life and the place you’re in now.
