So far fashion week has NOT disappointed. Trends include, muted colors, nudes, sheer fabric, shades of blue, menswear inspired, and FUR. The muted tones are so understated but undeniably chic at the same time, turning the focus on the cut and detailing, rather than the color. Complimenting muted pastels are nudes which are everywhere this season, with shades of khaki and brown complimenting the structured looks for next fall. The sheerness factor lends to the delicate nature of the fall’s look while giving a demure and sexy feel to any outfit. My favorite trend thus far has to be shades of blue. Perfectly mixed, the deep hue provides a cool and refreshing look in a pool of nudes. While blue is a fresh take, menswear is back and a bit overdone if I do say so myself. That being said, I’m dying for some Clarks desert boots proving myself as the number one supporter of androgyny. Finally Ready-to-wear 2010 was all about the fur factor. The fur was opulent, luxurious and amazing to say the least. I’m in love.
